Honours Bachelor DegreeSchedule of Qualification Categories Entrance LevelThe requirement for admission to the Honours year program is high achievement a relevant three-year bachelor degree. Generally a distinction average is required, and usually involves direct continuation of the “pass” level three-year bachelor degree. DurationOne year full-time equivalent (48 points) following or continuing from a three-year (144 credit points) “pass” degree. Exit StandardExtending to fourth year level academic skills and understanding of a particular field already gained in an undergraduate program, or further cumulative specialisation within a systematic and coherent body of knowledge, and includes a research component. Successful completion of an Honours Degree at class I or class IIA level will enable admission to a higher degree by research – Masters or PhD. |
