Bachelor Degree with HonoursSchedule of Qualification Categories Entrance LevelThe normal requirement for admission is successful completion of Year 12 (subject to established prerequisite components) or equivalent. This normally involves completion of thirteen years of previous full-time study at primary and secondary school levels. DurationEight standard semesters full-time equivalent (192 credit points), usually in ‘professional’ faculties. Exit StandardA Bachelor Degree with Honours requires completion of a regular Bachelor degree course of four or more years – often in professional fields such as engineering or law- with high academic achievement. Course duration is unchanged, although additional work may be required. Successful completion of a Bachelor Degree with Honours at class I or class IIA level, which involves some research training, will enable admission to a higher degree by research – Masters or PhD. |
